Easy Peasy Zig Zags

This one is a few months old but I haven’t thought to post it until now. Probably because it was so easy, I didn’t think much of it. But I really love this sweet little baby quilt and I’m keeping it folded away until the perfect little baby girl comes along.

The front is Moda Bella solids, half square triangles. The back as well as the binding are prints from Bonnie and Camille’s Marmalade line.

The quilting is just an outline of the zig zags in the white areas. Easy peasey.

What I learned from this project:

Sure, half square triangles in a zig zag pattern – easy, right? I must confess I ripped out a lot of seams during this project. You can create a lot of designs with just two colors of HSTs. What I learned is that if you want to make a pattern, have a PLAN!

So for future reference, here are my simple HST plans:
